Join the global movement on human rights and against the political abuse psychiatry
The political abuse of psychiatry refers to the abuse of a psychiatric diagnosis, treatment and detention for the purposes of obstructing the fundamental human rights
in a given society.
Silencing all those who raise their voices in protest of restrictive and undemocratic government actions became prominent at the end of the last millennium (1980 to 2000). Now, 25 years later, we observe again a steep increase in numbers of people hospitalised on mental health grounds after protesting or challenging the authorities.
